Workshops
Landscapes of Laughter
A series of masterclasses for professionals
This workshop series, taught by Jos Houben, offers an immersive journey into the major styles of comic theatre. Our starting point is the body in performance, allowing us to explore the principles that underpin these different languages—from buffoon to burlesque, from clowning to absurd and nonsensical forms. Accidents, imbalances, misunderstandings, imitation, and childlike play: each living dynamic reveals its own distinct door into the world of comedy.
The workshops are conceived as a continuous journey through the comic universe and its many styles and variations. However, it is also entirely possible to take part in one or two modules separately.

The Gag Factory
A workshop open to professionals and non-professionals

We will discover the fundamental rules of this art of imbalance, and then put them into practice by creating stunts, fights, chase scenes, gags and general mayhem…

Space in Motion
A multidisciplinary workshop in Paris
This scenography and movement workshop, open to performing artists and visual artists, offers a two-day immersive exploration of the dialogue between space, body, and performance. Through hands-on visual and scenic work, participants will explore how scenography can generate movement and dramaturgy, and how, in turn, performance and the body shape and call forth physical spaces.
- 23 and 24 May - 10 hours
