This workshop, at the crossroads of performance and set design, is open to both actors and set designers, and offers a five-day immersion in practice exploring the dialogue between body, space, and play. Through hands-on exercises, participants will experiment with working methods that generate dramaturgy and stage action from physical space — and, in turn, design scenographic spaces from movement and play. No prior performance experience is necessary for designers and no design experience is asked of performers. Instead, we explore how these two worlds can cfrete bridges and points of collaboration, inspiring each other and inventing creative solutions.

For the past ten years, directors Jos Houben and Emily WIlson have collaborated closely with the set and costume designer Oria Puppo. They constantly inspire each other to look outside their own discipline and look to create theatrical work that mixes the physical and the visual in surprising and joyful ways. This workshop is a window into their trans-disciplinary collaboration and invitation to discover their respective creative universes.

Prerequisites: Ce stage est ouvert aux amateur.ice.s et aux professionnel.le.s. Cependant, une pratique artistique d’au moins deux ans est nécessaire.
